GENERAL MANAGER of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Angel Honrado admitted on Monday, 07 May 2012, that the management could not produce video footage of the brawl between showbiz couple Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago against veteran broadcast journalist Mon Tulfo.

How did it start? According to Tulfo, he heard a woman cursing an employee of Cebu Pacific. He didn’t recognize that it was Barretto when he started documenting the incident through his mobile phone.Tulfo claimed that Santiago was irked by his gesture and tried to grab his phone. He said it was Santiago who started the physical fight.

Cebu Pacific explained that the plane has exceeded its weight limit so some baggage had to be transferred to Aklan airport for trasport to Manila on a different flight, claiming that passenger safety is their top priority.

In an interview, Barretto explained that she was upset when she found out that their baggage, which contain medicines for her children, were left on Caticlan airport. She denied statement made by Tulfo that they started the brawl. Santiago confirmed he approached Tulfo to ask what he is doing (pertaining to recording the incident) when the latter started to throw punches against him.

The couple urged NAIA to release the CCTV footage of the incident which started on the conveyor area, however, no video could ever be released as the CCTV currently operates only on the arrival area of the terminal and the management is still working to put into operation CCTV system on the conveyor area.

However, a Youtube video has been released that shows part of the fight. You can watch the short clip below:
